Can you feed your children raw food?
Every parent will give the best for its children. Most of us would want our child to be healthy, grow proportionately, energetic and resistant to common illnesses. However, most parents in this country feed their kids with junk food as soon as their kids start solid food. Watching your kids become obese is hard.
In order to be sure that your child is eating the right kind of food, it is advisable that you give them plenty of fruits and vegetables. As we all know, it is hard to feed kids with fruits and vegetables. The secret in making the child eat healthy foods, you must make the food not only delicious but also fun. For example, you can give your kids a serving of fruits – such as oranges, grapefruit, bananas, strawberries or blueberries – for breakfast. Give them liquids that contain no sugar or fruit extracts. Get them accustomed to eating vegetables that are not cooked or raw.
Setting a good example to them is also advisable. If your kids will see you eating healthy food, they will eventually learn to eat that way. Remember, you must not let your kids eat packaged foods, such as macaroni and cheese, or fried chicken fingers, or anything fried for that matter. Just make sure that vegetables are included in all their meals.
As much as possible, you must keep your kids away from cakes, cookies and sweets. Foods that contain preservatives and artificial flavorings must also be avoided. However, you can give them some of that type of food every once in a while as long as you made it yourself. How can you be sure your children are getting the nutrition they need?
Many of today’s parents worry that if they prevent their kids from eating unhealthy and processed foods that kids love, and only give them fruits and vegetables, their children will starve. As we all know, kids are not fond of eating fruits and vegetables. And if you keep on feeding your kids with processed foods, the more they are prone to illnesses and become unhealthy. Without doubt, your kids will demand to have the foods they like, and will not eat the healthy food that you will give them. However, they will eventually get hungry and if you are determined to give your kids healthy food, sooner or later, your kids will have no other choice but to eat the food. It would be best if you will let your kids see that all members of your family are eating healthy foods.
There are many recipes and several possibilities you can try. Just because your kids do not like eating fruits and vegetables does not necessarily mean that you can not give them healthy foods. Just eat it around them and watch them ask you for a piece. Keep offering it to them at dinnertime and ask them to eat a couple of bites.
