Calcium Concerns

Calcium that came from various types of food categories makes excellent food therapy. Also they are much better than calcium supplements. If the body absorbs more than the required amount of calcium, it will eliminate the extra calcium it doesn’t need.  Calcium is essential for the structure of the bones but organic calcium is more beneficial better than inorganic calcium taken from supplements. 

Why not cow’s milk? 

The common misconception with regards to cow’s milk is that they are ideal for the body. The truth is, the protein level of cow’s milk is particularly high which generates acidic residue. And if you continue consuming large amounts of milk, your body will loose alkaline minerals from the bones. Once the bones have a decrease of alkaline minerals they will eventually become weak and more prone to fractures or breakage.

Numerous non-dairy foods can be substituted for milk or other dairy products. However, you must always be wary of the foods that are labeled "nondairy," because most of these particular products are not actually milk free. Even the term "milk-free" can be deceptive. For instance, some soy cheeses are said to be free of milk however these products may possibly contain milk protein.

Why not soy milk?

Most milk can increase the mucous formation of the body. It is very important that you must not give dairy product to those who suffer from colds or pneumonia. Dairy products and soy must be avoided. Soy is considered as milk. Another term for soy is “vegetable milk.” Kids who are below two years old are being advised not to consume animal dairy products because of its high level of protein. On the other hand, soy milk also contains high level of protein, and is seriously being encouraged for children with milk allergies.  The soy milk is turned and suspended in a cheese cloth; of which will form a solid curd more known as tofu or soy cheese. 

Tofu is a natural protein based product from soy. It is commonly used as an alternative for meat in most Oriental countries. They used by the Japanese as a traditional part of their mineral-rich fish broth. Individuals who use tofu and bean curd as an alternative for meat and dairy products are more prone of experiencing severe mineral deficiencies.

The Chinese do not use soybean as other legumes and lentils. They believe that soybeans contain significant amounts of harmful substances.  Several reasons are based on that, however soy based products are still used in the United States. Among these products are chocolate soy milk and vanilla soy milk. These products are commonly found on grocery stores and supermarkets these days.
