There are numerous types of foods that are available on the market these days. Several of them can easily be broken down by our body. These types of foods are unprocessed foods that have sufficient fiber contents. Food such as fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and whole grains are just some of them. You will eat more of these types of food, diseases, illness, constipation and other bowel complications can be prevented. 

Foods such as beans, peas, green vegetables, fresh fruits of all types, whole grain breads, and cereals when consumed are easily broken down by our body. The residues of these types of foods are easily passed through the intestines. Basically, the whole process usually lasts 72 hours or less, from the consuming of the food to the bodily elimination of the residue. The whole period of the process is easier on the gastrointestinal tract. It is much easier than the consuming white flour or sugar foods that generally have low fiber content.

Once you have incorporated these types of food into your system, your body will have more energy and become more responsive even when you do not eat for a brief period of time. Recent studies show that three hours or more is sufficient enough for in between meals before another meal must be eaten. However, you must also take into consideration that the time span will vary. The variation will depend on the type of food that is consumed, type of meal taken, and the quantity of the food that is consumed.

Furthermore, it is natural for our body to rest while it digests the foods that are consumed. Taking a ten minute break before consuming a meal and a half-hour break after eating is highly recommended and can bring about lots of benefits to the body. Lunch is considered as the largest meal of the day and must be taken around noon. This is because the physiological capability of the human body is on its peak during this period. However, this presents certain problems in today’s world, because taking a brief nap after lunch for about half-an-hour may possibly lead to certain complications. Most of the people these days have their largest meal of the day after work or at the end of the day so that they will be able to relax or rest unhurriedly. Also, in order to prevent complications, it is best that you eat a meal that consists of easy to digest foods.
